13 new startups join Sting Core, tackling everything from women’s health to energy and cybersecurity
This week, 13 new startups officially join Sting Core, our flagship program designed to help founders move faster, make smarter decisions, and scale with confidence. The new cohort reflects where innovation is heading right now: AI infrastructure, climate and energy solutions, women’s health, cybersecurity and next-generation materials. It’s a group tackling real problems, with both urgency and ambition.

For the first time, a majority of the companies in the cohort are led by female CEOs.
We are pleased to announce that 7 out of 13 startups (54%) have a woman as CEO, a milestone that reflects our belief in gender equality.
“We continue to see a clear shift in what founders are building. This cohort combines DeepTech and AI with real-world application in a way that’s both commercially sharp and impact-driven. That’s exactly where we want to be”, says Karin Ruiz, CEO at Sting.
Over the coming months, the companies will get hands-on support from Sting’s network of coaches, investors, and operators, working closely on everything from product and go-to-market to fundraising and team development. They’ll also join Sting’s broader community of alumni, partners, and industry experts.
From AI diagnostics to next-generation energy systems
Among the companies joining Sting Core is NovaBirth, developing AI-powered ultrasound technology to enable safer and more standardised labour assessments, a critical step forward in maternal care.
Another standout is SMARTERGY, rethinking how electricity is delivered and consumed with a promise that’s hard to ignore: half the cost and half the emissions.
We also see strong momentum within climate and energy. Unearth Data is turning complex climate data into financial intelligence, while Rebattex is building infrastructure for battery reuse, a key component of the transition to a circular energy system.
And within health, Hikari Bio and Intelligyn are pushing the boundaries of early diagnostics, from protein biomarker discovery to AI-driven triage for women’s health
“Early diagnosis, smarter systems, and better decision-making, that’s a common thread across many of these companies. It’s not just about innovation, it’s about making systems actually work better. Even more encouraging is the shift in leadership: for the first time, a majority of companies in this cohort are led by women, showing what’s possible when we actively support gender equality in the ecosystem,” Karin adds.
From Sting Climate Race to Sting Core
Two of the companies, Renewbeam and Re:notch, are already familiar faces. Both previously participated in Sting’s Climate Race 2026 and are now taking the next step by joining Sting Core.
Renewbeam is transforming low-value wood into high-performance building components, while Re:notch is focused on unlocking the full potential of on-site solar energy.
Their progression highlights an important part of Sting’s model: supporting founders over time, and doubling down where there’s clear potential.
“It’s incredibly exciting to continue working with Renewbeam and Re:notch. They’ve already shown strong momentum, and now we get to go deeper, helping them fully leverage the expertise and network within Sting,” Mia de Beche, Head of Investor Relations, adds.
